CONFIRMATION 2009.This year the numbers for confirmation in the Parish have been so big, and the church would not be able to
Accommodate even all the immediate members of each candidate's family, that it was deemed necessary to have two ceremonies. Bishop
Murphy has kindly agreed to the request and has asked to have the first ceremony at 11 AM. And me Second at 3.30P.M. On Thursday
12th March 2009 It was agreed, by lot, that the candidates from Kilgobnet and St Francis' Schools be confirmed at 11 A.M. and those
from Cullina and the Valley schools at 3.30.PM
It is very important that all the conlirmandi, their sponsors and parents be in their seats in the church at least a quarter of an hour before the
time the ceremony is due to commence.
It is also important that no cameras, video recorders or mobile phones be used during the ceremony. F AJLTE ROMH CHACH

As most people know by now, in keeping with the marriage tows of the church, there are many Church as well as Civil documents /papers to be attended to when people get married Irrespective of which church one intends to celebrate the wedding the first thing one must do (at least six months before the wedding) is contact the priest of the parish where that person lives..
The Diocese of Kerry is organising a walking pilgrimage for 20-35 year olds on the Camio de Santiago May 9th 16th 2009.
This Journey of Faith will consist of 115 KM over 7 days leading to the city of Santiago de Composiela_______________________
Beaufort Pioneer Centre will enter a float at the St Patrick Day Parade in Killamey. Council Meeting on Tuesday next at 8.30 in the Parish Hall
Because of the shortage of priests, and because of the extra workload on the priests - especially on priests working on their own in parishes, the understanding and assistance (mostly given voluntarily) of the parishioners is greatly appreciated. This, of course is in keeping with our BAPTISMAL COMMTTMENTS

The Beaufort Pioneer Centre will host "The Rambling House" session on Saturday 24* January at 8.30 P.m. at the Parish Hall, Beaufort. Teas and refreshments also.

Tree planting at the new car park at Lios Leadhbhain.
After a long process, driven by local community activists from the parish in co-operation with local land owners and Kerry County
Council, a new car park has been developed below Carran Tuathail at Lios Leadhbhaia
On Saturday January 31st, a community tree planting win take place at the new public facility of some 2400 naive woodland trees and
bushes. .The saplings have been donated to the pr -;ect by the forest company GREENBELT who will be on hand along with the
department of Forestry officials to instruct on the planting.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring shovels or spades and lunch -11 A.M at new car park. For further information call Com Moriarty

Irrespective of which one intends to celebrate the wedding the first thing one must do is contact the priest of the parish where that person lives.(at least six months before the wedding).

The Diocese of Kerry is organising a walking pilgrimage for 20-35 year olds on the Camio de Santiogo May 9th-16th 2009. This journey of Faith will consist of 115km over 7 days leading to the city of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
Beaufort Pioneer Council wishes to thank most sincerely everybody who supported the various events during 2008 and would like to wish everybody a happy and prosperous new year. The centre will host “The Rambling House” session on Saturday 24th January at 8.30P.M. at the Parish Hall, Beaufort. Teas and refreshments also.
