Summer Camp

It is almost summer time again and I would like to let you know about our Naíonra Summer Camp.

    • Monday 5th of July until Friday 30th of July.
    • There will be one session per day.
    • 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
    • Three to seven year olds.
    • Come for a week.
    • Come for four weeks.
    • Come for a few days each week.
    • Make sure you come for fun and sport.

The children will participate in a wide range of activities both indoor and outdoor. These will include Arts & Crafts, Games, Drama, Dance, Free play and lots of fun.

If you are interested in booking a place would you please pay a €20.00 booking deposit per family to secure your place as soon as possible. The €20.00 covers the cost of the activities that will take place over the four weeks. All children will be invited back for our bouncing castle day even if they are not booked in for that week.

The cost per child will be €8.00 per session.

Lotto:

The numbers drawn in the Beaufort GAA Lotto Draw on Sunday February 15th were 2, 6, 11, 19.

There was no jackpot winner, so there will be a €2,800 jackpot for our next draw, on this Sunday Night February 29th at Pat Sheehan’s Bar Beaufort.

Winners drawn on the night were: Kathleen Moloney, Ballagh €80. Pat Cuffe, Beaufort Village €50. Timmy Moynihan, Headford and Padraig Cronin Keel, Beaufort, €50 each.

Drama:

Caragh Lake Drama Group presents "Don’t Bother to Unpack" by John Quinn at Caragh Lake National School on February 26/27/28/29 at 8.30p.m.

Admission €6 and €4.

Pioneer News:

Preparations for entry to St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Killarney are under way by members of the local St. Mary’s Pioneer Centre. This promises to be one of the best entries the centre has had to date. The Centre will have a marching group also and hope that all pioneers and those promoting moderation in the use of alcohol will join on the day.

Parish Transport:

This service is available on every Friday, to anybody who wishes to use it. Bus departs from Meanus Bridge at 10 a.m. via Brookhill, Kilgobnet, Breen’s Cross, Gerah, Kissane’s Shop, Beaufort Village, Joy’s Cross, to Killarney. Return journey at 1.30 Telephone 1890 528528 on previous day to book seat.

First Prizewinners on Monday Night at the Beaufort Community Centre were: Jack Murphy/Paddy O’Leary, 2nd Prize divided between Batt O’Connor/Mick O’Sullivan, M. Leane, Dave Leane, Sean Moriarty, Johnny Moore, Sean Mackessy, Dan Daly.

Best Ladies: Nora O’Connor, Dot O’Connor, Eileen Coffey, Peg Cronin.Best Mixed: M. Tangney, Eileen Tangney, Best Gents: Dan Buckley, Joe Walsh, Thomas Johnson, Noel Spillane.

Play continues every Monday Night at 9.15 Spots raffle, refreshments served.
